Rugby Achievements of USA Player Luke Hume


Luke Hume is a rugby union and rugby league player of America who plays for the USA Eagles and USA 7s. He last time played rugby for French club RC Narbonne during the 2013-14 season. Hume played for USA Tomahawks in the rugby league previously. Belonging to Sydney, Hume migrated to New York where he started to play rugby league for the New York Knights. In 2009, he helped the Knights to win league championship and was given AMNRL MVP award. He did a hat trick for the USA Tomahawks in their 38-20 win against Ireland in the Donnybrook Cup.


Hume made a debut for the Eagles in June 2012 in a defeat to Canada in which he scored a try. He made a debut for the USA sevens in 2012 and with his help USA qualified for the 2013 Rugby World Cup Sevens. U.S national team signed him for 2013. He started to play for Gloucester A as a trial in August 2013 where he scored two tries in his first two matches. Although he gave good performance, Gloucester did not sign him for the 2013-14 season. But they were interested for his return in the next season.
