Australia Make Three Changes in Starting Lineup for Rugby Championship

Australia has included Adam Ashley Cooper, Joe Tomane and Saia Fainga’a in the squad for Saturday’s clash with South Africa in the Rugby Championship. Joe Tomane takes place of Rob Horne while Ashley Cooper has passed the fitness test after nerve injury to replace Peter Betham. Fainga’a takes place of the benched james Hanson. International debut will be made by uncapped Josh Mann-Rea. Two additional changes include the recall of Benn Robinson while Horne replaces Matt Hodgson. Mckenzie said: “Rob Horne impressed us by his performance but Joe also deserves an opportunity to show his talent.”

Mckenzie added: “His physicality should help us against Springboks line up. We expect from Adam to be refreshed and ready. The set-piece is an important area when you play against South Africa and the outcome of the scrum and line-out will be crucial. We feel that Saia and Benn inclusion will give us the best result in 80 minutes. They are experienced players who have showed high performance before. Saia’s recent off the field effort has impressed us and he will avail this opportunity and Benn already was not out of the selection scenario.”
